Club Information |
The Club plays at the Ansdell Institute and
Social Club, Woodlands Road, Lytham St Annes,
Lancashire, FY8 4BX. Please note that the Club
has a security key entrance so we need to know
when you are coming to play so that we can
arrange for you to be greeted. Contact Dave Johnston 01772

We play Duplicate Pairs to EBU Level 3 standard
,and adhere to EBU Best Practice guidelines, every
week day evening. and Saturday nights (arrive no
later than 7.15pm). On Wednesday afternoons we play a more relaxed game of
Duplicate Pairs which is well-suited to new and
inexperienced players (be there before 1.15pm). On Monday afternoons and Wednesday Evenings
we have "Simple Systems"
Sessions (be
there no later than 7.15pm).
Table money is £1.50 for members and £2.00 for visitors. (Visitors can only attend six times before they have to become members of the Ansdell
Institute). Subscription to the Institute is £6
and half price for pensioners, the Annual Fee to
the Bridge Club is £7 (only £3 for the part year
if you join in October, November or December).. There will also be a £10
joining fee for the Bridge Club and an £8
joining fee to the Institute. Players will have
to have graduated from the Bridge Courses that
we run, or be successful in having their playing
ability assessed if they do not take the
Courses. They are, of course, entitled to play
as many times as they wish as non-members on
normal Club evenings provided that they are
members of the Ansdell Institute and pay the
visitors' fee at the Bridge sessions they
attend.
The Ansdell Institute is a non-smoking venue.
Bridge players have access to the licensed bars within the Institute and we also have our own hot drinks vending machine which dispenses tea, coffee and hot chocolate for just 20p a cup.
We also have a fridge from which cold drinks can
be purchased. The bridge room contains 15 tables comfortably and has controlled heating and ventilation.
