Intermediate Bridge classes.....Final Session July 15th....Leads against No Trump Contracts
There will be a series of 6 lessons for Bridge Players of Intermediate standard  held at the Club starting at 10am on Tuesday May 6th and held every other week.  The first 2 of these 2-hour sessions will concentrate on Bidding, then there will be 2 sessions on Playing Hands and then 2 sessions on Defending Contracts.   You can attend as many, or as few, sessions as you want paying £2 a session at the door as you come in (£3 for visitors).  There is are full details on the Secretary's section Club Notice Board.....see you there?
     
Wally & Yvonne and Christine and Audrey clinch the wins!

Wally and Yvonne Green won the North/South section with Christine Welch and Audrey Rigby winning the South section of the excellent Spring Social held on May 18th.  There was lots of great hands, particularly for North/South and the wine, cheese and biscuits and pickles went down well as 42 members enjoyed another superb social evening.

There were all sorts of prizes on offer for the most unusual things including "the people who made their opponents the most happy" !  The most bizarre part of the night was when we played "reverse Bridge" for one hand....this completely threw me off balance and I needed a further 2 hands to recover!

Everybody said what a great night it was and they're already looking forward to the Summer Social!
