If you are looking to play competitive Duplicate Bridge in a warm and friendly atmosphere in one of the best Bridge rooms in the North West...then this is the Club for you! We welcome new members, prospective members and visitors to the area.

Clifton Bridge Club is an EBU Level 3  Club.  Bridge is played every evening except Sunday and also on a Monday, Wednesday  and Friday afternoons. Only Simple Systems are permitted in the Afternoon sessions and on Wednesday evening when we have an "Assisted Bridge" session. Please be seated and ready to play by 1.15pm for the afternoon session and at 7.15pm for the evening session.

 Although we don't have Hosted Sessions  as such we can usually provide you with a partner if we know in advance....just call the Club Secretary, Dave Johnston, on 01772 561596.

We have one of the most comprehensive Bridge Training programmes in the UK, offering great individual support to students on our Beginners' Classes, thanks to the 8 Teachers, who have been trained by the English Bridge Union, and who regularly turn out to assist Chief Training Officer John Duxbury. We regularly feature Improver Classes for the more experienced players.

The Club is open every weekday evening (arrive before 7:15) and also on Monday and Wednesday afternoons (arrive before 1:15). We also play on Saturday evenings and, quite frequently, we have competitions on a Sunday. We have three teams which play in the local League.

Whilst we understand that Bridge is a competitive game we also believe that it is also a social activity where you can meet new friends and have a good time. To promote this side of the game we have Special Bridge evenings where “fun” is the main theme for the evening. There are also plenty of special functions where the President, Sylvia Horner, invites us to join her for lunch and a game of Bridge at a local hotel or Golf Course!
